Our New Hub & Interactive Map Of Vancouver Restaurants Open For Take-Out & Delivery

Wondering if your favorite restaurant is still working? Or what spots are offering grocery and DIY kits? Or where you can try something new and delicious because after so much #stayathome cooking you are ultimately running out of kitchen inspiration?

Our team worked hard over the past few weeks to put up a map of all working restaurants or cafe shops in the area of Vancouver, so today here at Noms Magazine, we are launching a new initiative!!

We would like to invite everyone, both restaurant-goers and restaurant-owners, to check out the brand new BEAT COVID hub. With this platform, we aim to support Vancouver restaurants as well as YOU during these economic tough times.

As restaurants and eateries have been closing down right and left, those that remained working pivoted with their services and offers. So many of Vancouver’s super cool hot spots have now introduced online orders and take-outs, or have tailored special offers and amazing DIY kit for special treats you probably never prepared at home before.

So, our new hub aims to support the wonderful work of these restaurants while also helping you navigate where to find some darn good food to eat.

The hub features some refined searches, so you can also see which restaurants cater exclusive deals to frontline workers or gift cards for everyone to use at their own convenience. We’ve taken care to source out all of this information from owners themselves and embed it in the virtual map.

A look at the interactive map of 140+ Vancouver restaurants

For our dear foodie followers, the best support you can right now give to beloved local restaurants is by ordering a take out, curbside picks up, or see if they offer any other delivery options.

Here’s what you can anticipate finding on the map:

  • A list of restaurants offering DIY kits that will enhance your kitchen and cooking (a Miku ramen kit, or Passion Tea Room Bubble Tea kit, anyone?)
  • A list of restaurants being straight awesome and offering discounts to frontline workers, or donating to charitable organizations;
  • A list of restaurants offering gift cards that you can buy now and use later, or use them to surprise a friend who’s having a birthday soon;
  • A list of restaurants offering special offers and promos and much much more!

At the same time, the BEAT COVID hub resembles a community board for restaurants to publish their business updates. So far, the hub includes over 140 featured restaurants. If you are a restaurant owner who can’t find their restaurant name and information on our interactive map, you can fill in this online form here and register to the hub all for free. The same goes for other community members–foodies and restaurant-goers alike–if you also see that your local neighborhood restaurant is not on our map, you can fill out this public tip form.

Everyone’s participation is welcome, and our team would be most happy to include information on any restaurant missing or add any forthcoming updates you may have.

Lastly, you can also use this new platform if you wish to make donations to hard-working organizations such as @Vanfbc that help restaurant workers affected by the ongoing pandemic.

And we’ll also take every Wednesday to push forward the national campaign that supports restaurants by encouraging people to order take-outs. You can follow all campaign-related activities under the hashtag #takeoutday.

We hope this map will help you TODAY as well as through the rest of the pandemic and social distancing measures.
