High-end Confectionary Brand À Toi Gourmet Launches

Nowadays, it is so easy to turn towards gift cards and gift baskets as an option when we’re stuck deciding what present to pick out. But does taking the simple route show how much you care?

In Japan, gift-giving is deeply rooted in their culture and is apparent for all social occasions and obligations. Gifts are presented on anniversaries, births, weddings, achievements, and as part of business etiquette. The presentation of the gift’s wrapping and thoughtfulness is considered more important than the actual value than the present itself.

À Toi Gourmet Gifts recently launched in Vancouver and looks to make gifting meaningful again, through the Japanese mindset, with their high-end confectionary.

They source the finest ingredients to craft their Pate de fruits, tea gummies, and fruit marshmallows. Specifically: local creameries, natural fruit purées from France and fine chocolates from Southern continents - all to give a burst of flavour.

At the helm, À Toi Chef Lily Yuan trained at Ferrandi Paris, Frances most prestigious culinary institution, and has worked with world's best pastry chefs like Cédric Grolet, Stéphane Glacier and Ramon Morató before moving to Japan. In Tokyo, she helped develop chocolates and patisseries for the Asia Pacific region and learned the Japanese culture of showing appreciation through gifting.

Pate de fruits are chewy treats that luxurious French restaurants often send diners away with as a parting gift.
