1.) Pourhouse ‘Roaring Twenties New Year’s Eve Bash
Gastown’s Pourhouse is located in a century-old heritage building, so history is omnipresent from the interior to the drinks and treats on the tables here. Which is why they have all the right reasons to throw a themed New Year’s Eve bash this December 31st where you can travel back in time a century.
Dress code: your best ‘20s-era costume. Why? To go back to December 31, 1919, the last evening before the notorious Prohibition era marked its start in the U.S. in 1920. Before the party, the restaurant will feature a regular dinner service until 9 p.m. An hour later the venue is due to transform with live DJ, a photo booth, midnight bubbles, and salutes to the pre-Prohibition Golden Age of Cocktails. If you are up for a seafoody New Year Eve, head to Yew Seafood + Bar in downtown Four Seasons Hotel. This well-acclaimed Vancouver-based seafood+bar restaurant will serve two dinner seatings for the New Year’s Eve occasion.
Early Dinner Seating
For those who want to grab a seafood bite earlier make a reservation for the dinner seating at 5:00 p.m. and feast on a menu that feature options such as Salmon Duo Tart, Sea Urchin Risotto, Lobster Mac + Cheese and Honey Glazed Black Cod. Notch8 is for your glamorous end of 2019. The lavish restaurant nestled in Hotel Vancouver, is hosting two events this December 31st.
New Year’s Eve Set Dinner
Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and you have until 7:30 p.m. to make it through a delectable five-course set dinner that includes oysters, raviolo bergese, foie gras torchon, wagyu triploin, and a self-indulgent chocolate dessert.
New Year’s Eve Party
Notch8 opens its New Year’s Eve Party at 9:00 p.m. where you can ring in 2020 with a luscious Champagne toast, get your hips moving on a live DJ set and choose from an abundance of delectable treats. There will be seafood, Wagyu beef, lobster, cheese fondue, Notch8’s unique “cheese wall” as well as a separate stand for sweet delights. Tickets are non-refundable.
4.) Botanist New Year Eve Dinner + New Year’s Day Brunch
Botanist is already warming us up this December with their special collection of winter-inspired craft cocktails. Get a taste of their mulled wine with brandy, spices, orange and maple, or their Santa’s Lil Helper that combines Christmas pudding gin, aged rum, apricot, caramelized honey and lemon. But to really get you in the New Year spirit, the Botanist is hosting two events in a row.
New Year’s Eve Dinner
Opt between two seatings, the first starting from 5 p.m. and concluding by 8 p.m., and the second starting from 8 p.m. and culminating with a midnight countdown and bubbles. There will be live music and a six-course tasting menu that includes Northern Divine Caviar, Sablefish and Wagyu Striploin. Should indeed make a divine evening.
New Year’s Day Brunch
On the morning of January 1st, come back at Botanist for brunch and a welcome glass of sparkling, starting at 10 a.m and until 2 p.m. On the menu: a festive brunch punch, ham, prime rib, risotto, eggs benedict, and some more live music.
If you are a craft-beer aficionado plus enjoy old school hip hop, you might want to secure your sport at the Bells & Whistles’ New Year’s Eve bash. Their Ball Drop party starts at 9 p.m. and lasts until 2 a.m.

6.) Juke ‘Cluck Your Resolutions’ New Year’s Day Brunch
Juke is famous among Vancouverites for its fried chicken speciality, and when it comes to New Year gather-ups, also for its annual ‘Cluck Your Resolutions’ brunch. On 1st January, 2020, they’ll be hosting their fourth in a row Cluck Your Resolutions.
Starting from noon until 3 p.m. guests to Juke can enjoy a menu of southern-fried brunch specials including half-price chicken and waffles and combine their orders with new special cocktail features and hydrating drinks such as Mimosas and Caesars. The event will be accompanied by a set from DJ Fortherecord.
During the holiday season, Juke is also available for private parties and gatherings bookings. Capacity for sit-down events: 40 people; for stand-up: 70 people.

UVA is a well noted wine bar in downtown Vancouver, catering top-notch wine varieties to its guests. For greeting 2020 they are hosting a gala Moët & Chandon New Year’s Eve Champagne Party, kicking off at 9 p.m on December 31, where you can combine your Moët & Chandon Champagne cocktails with small plates such as polpette fritti, roasted eggplant and garlic bruschetta, mushroom arancini and roasted beet tartare in endive.
And also join the Moët & Chandon sabering competition in the saber chamber and move your hips to DJ Buddha Sax’s music.

Hawksworth Restaurant also remains open for the last night of the year. On December 31st, there will be two dinner seatings plus a festive lounge party to ring in 2020. The first dinner seating starts at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. while the second, the booking of which includes access to the lounge, starts at 8 p.m.
The food menu is abundant: oyster, scallop, bbq lobster, risotto with foraged mushrooms and potato foam, a yarrow meadows duck with sunchoke, lingonberry, foie gras, and a black truffle ice cream with dark chocolate, hazelnut and vanilla for a finish up.

10.) The Victor (Parq Vancouver) New Year’s Eve Gala + Day Buffet
Vancouverites head at The Victor for its flavorful, classic North American steak and seafood extravaganza. Combine that with some of their top-notch cocktails and there you go a lovely evening. The Parq Vancouver restaurant is due to host two events for New Year.
New Year’s Eve Gala
The New Year’s Eve gala starts at 9 p.m. and you’ll be able to opt for some delectable dishes as you fine tune your ears to the live jazz and sax going. Ancora is a rare gem for its culinary teams prepare both Japanese and Peruvian dishes. These are two culinary cultures so distant from one another, yet at Ancora both have anchored in perfect harmony. Both Ancora locations (Ambleside and False Creek) will host New Year’s Eve dinner services on December 31st.
The first seating begins at 5 p.m. and those who book can feast on a six-course menu that includes options such as dungeness crab with avocado mousse, ceviche nikkei with albacore tuna, shrimp risotto with cauliflower, aji panca sockeye salmon or black truffle short rib. The second seating begins at 7 p.m. and the six-course menu gets even better with dishes such as Atlantic lobster risotto or aji panca sablefish or white truffle short rib.
You can combine the courses with wine pairings and enjoy the festive ambient at their two locations with live piano music.

Whatever you order at Wildeebeest is cooked with ingredients that come straight from local farms. It’s a nice restaurant situated in a 19th-century building in Gastown. For New Year’s Eve they are running a special menu, forged by Executive Chef Ian McHale, and reservations are available for after 5 p.m.
Start with Alberni Valley Venison Carpaccio with beemster, foraged mushrooms and hazelnuts or Hay Smoked Carrots, or Poached Sunseeker Oysters. Continue with Sweetcorn Tortellini and any of the main dishes: Sablefish with mussels, leek and charred cabbage, Bison Flat Iron with hasselback potatoes, black truffle, winter squash and huckleberry, Game Pitivier with braised lamb and bison, foie gras, red cabbage pureée and morels, or Vegetables en Papillote with mushrooms, alliums, Jerusalem artichokes and salsify. Sandbar is a stunning seafood restaurant on Granville Island and for New Year’s Eve Executive Chef Wesley Dennis is preparing a variety of delectable seafood treat.
Starters include Sushi platter for two (lobster roll, salmon avocado roll, duo of spicy tuna cones) or Smoked Salmon Carpaccio, while Surf & Turf or Lobster Thermidor make for the main highlights. Save some space for either Chocolate Lava Cake or White Chocolate Cake as per dessert. There’ll be a DJ to take care for the music and New Year mood on the dancefloor.

Food and wine are always exquisite at Burdock & Co offers, a cozy place where you can dwell in long conversation alongside trying all those delicious BC tastes. Owner and Chef Andrea Carlson is preparing a special menu for New Year’s Eve which you can pair with some delicious, natural wines on offer there. There will be two dinner seatings. At Gastown’s Water Street Cafe, get ready for a New Year’s Eve filled with food extravaganza, wine, beverages, and live music. Their celebration takes place on the 2nd floor and would be the third annual NYE Gala hosted by the venue.
Dress code: black and white tie affair. Menu: 8 courses with highlights such as Short Rib with sous vide Prince Edward island beef, whipped potato, crispy onions and hoisin jus, Lobster with garlic butter, grapefruit, avocado and celery remoulade, Monkfish with chayote squash, water chestnut stir fry and brandy beurre blanc, or a Cauliflower dish which is grilled Chilliwack cauliflower steak with braised turnips, beluga lentils and crispy leeks.

17.) Boulevard New Year’s Eve Dinner + New Year’s Day Brunch
Last but not least, at Boulevard you can opt-in for three different New Year events. There are two dinner seatings on New Year’s Eve, plus a New Year’s Day Brunch on January 1st.
On the first dinner seating, which starts at 5 p.m. on December 31st, chef Roger Ma will serve a luscious three-course dinner menu that includes succulent lobster and mouth-melting wagyu. The atmosphere will be warmed up by live jazz. The festivities continue with a second seating from 8 p.m. and a boosted four-course menu; this time the music is soul, funk and R&B. Return for a brunch on New Year’s Day either to get sober from last night or continue with some more drinking.
